OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine \u2014 Officials have yet to verify a woman’s reported sighting of a shark at Old Orchard Beach Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Hearing this, two beachgoers, Chip Plucker and Tom Stokes, then looked for the shark with binoculars. They reportedly spotted a shark fin in the waters, and said it appeared as if it was following something in circles.<\/p>\n
Plucker and Stokes reported the sighting to Old Orchard fire and police departments.<\/p>\n
Officers set up a drone to scan the waters. But according to Lance Timberlake, lieutenant of the Old Orchard Beach lifeguards, the drone did not pick up on any sharks.<\/p>\n
