{"id":885230,"date":"2026-10-17T06:34:15","date_gmt":"2026-10-17T06:34:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/885230\/"},"modified":"2026-10-17T06:34:15","modified_gmt":"2026-10-17T06:34:15","slug":"sarah-herron-reflects-on-8-years-since-bipolar-disorder-diagnosis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/885230\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarah Herron Reflects on 8 Years Since Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>          <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid img-aspect-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/a94270adeb284c259b1d3a10172b711c_xl.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                          Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Opening up.<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Herron on Season 17 of \u201cThe Bachelor,\u201d and she later returned for Seasons 1 and 3 of \u201cBachelor in Paradise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sarah found love off-screen with her husband, Dylan Brown, and the two welcomed twin daughters, Evy and Coco, in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, Sarah has kept followers updated on life as a family of four and has been open about everything from parenting and living with a limb difference to fertility and more.<\/p>\n<p>This week, Sarah took to Instagram to discuss a more vulnerable topic.<\/p>\n<p>          <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid img-aspect-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/c9058d674b0641e3963b5af9adb1d909_xl.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                          Instagram<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DehW0v7kUMC\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">new post<\/a>, she opened up about her mental health journey and reflected on the past eight years since being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cThis one\u2019s tender for me. But I\u2019d like to share in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month \ud83e\udd0d8 years ago, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Over time, with a lot of support, honest conversations with my care team, and more evaluation + new information, my diagnosis changed to something different.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sarah went on to explain that in 2018 she experienced a mental breakdown, and after beginning therapy and seeing a psychiatrist, she was diagnosed with Bipolar II.<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cThe diagnosis came as a surprise, but also gave me some answers. It was the first clue to understanding the bigger picture. Over time, with A LOT of CBT, honest conversations with my providers and new information, my diagnosis changed to something different.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>          <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid img-aspect-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/58e85ce661ae497c9386492b21feb0c0_xl.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                          Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Sarah noted that while that part of her story changed, she\u2019ll \u201ccontinue navigating it indefinitely, I imagine.\u201d She also expressed that mental health isn\u2019t linear and that asking for help was \u201cthe bravest thing [she\u2019s] ever done.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Bachelor Nation star then confessed that this week she asked for help again but \u201cthis time, with less shame and a whole lot of empowerment.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sarah also added, \u201cFor most people living with bipolar disorder, it\u2019s a lifelong condition. It\u2019s real, it\u2019s valid, and it\u2019s not something you can think, wish, or \u2018heal\u2019 your way out of. And that\u2019s not a failure. So many people with bipolar live full, beautiful, thriving lives because they\u2019ve found treatment that works for them. If that\u2019s you, I see you, and I\u2019m so proud of you for every hard day you\u2019ve shown up for yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We know Sarah\u2019s continued honesty and vulnerability will help so many others feel a little less alone.
