{"id":885482,"date":"2026-10-17T12:04:15","date_gmt":"2026-10-17T12:04:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/885482\/"},"modified":"2026-10-17T12:04:15","modified_gmt":"2026-10-17T12:04:15","slug":"stop-and-shop-offers-a-10-percent-discount-this-weekend-following-cybersecurity-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/885482\/","title":{"rendered":"Stop and Shop offers a 10 percent discount this weekend following cybersecurity incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(WJAR)  \u2014 The Stop and Shop grocery store chain is offering a 10 percent discount this weekend as an apology for the disruptions<a href=\"https:\/\/turnto10.com\/news\/local\/stop-shop-website-app-down-as-parent-company-addresses-cybersecurity-incident-oct-12-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> caused by a recent cybersecurity incident.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This week, a cybersecurity issue caused the chain\u2019s app and website to go offline.<\/p>\n<p>There was also a disruption to digital coupons and gas rewards.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement from Stop &amp; Shop President Roger Wheeler, the chain doesn\u2019t believe any customer data was affected by the cybersecurity incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo help express our sincere gratitude to our customers for their patience, we are offering all shoppers 10% off their next in-store purchase starting today through Thursday, October 22nd, up to $10 off,\u201d said Wheeler in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>To take advantage of this, customers need to check in at the Savings Station at the store.
