A Sacramento man was arrested after two people were stabbed Friday night inside a corn maze at Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon, according to the Solano County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Deputies responded to the popular fall attraction around 9:15 p.m. after an altercation was reported in the maze, the Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

A 19-year-old woman from Dixon and a 20-year-old man from Vallejo were taken to a hospital. Authorities have not released information about their conditions.<\/p>\n

Deputies arrested a 28-year-old Sacramento man and recovered a weapon at the scene, according to the Sheriff\u2019s Office. Officials have not released the suspect\u2019s name or said what may have led to the violence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was an altercation between some people yesterday in the corn maze,\u201d said Seth Cooley, whose family runs Cool Patch Pumpkins. \u201cPolice were called. They responded really fast.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pumpkin patch reopened Saturday, with families returning to the grounds and entering the corn maze. Cooley described the stabbing as an isolated incident and said the farm prioritizes visitors\u2019 safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re a family-oriented pumpkin patch,\u201d Cooley said. \u201cAlways have been.\u201d<\/p>\n

Security cameras are visible around the property, and a liability notice is posted at the entrance.<\/p>\n

Cooley confirmed that security personnel are on-site but declined to provide details about the farm\u2019s security measures.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to go into detail on that right now,\u201d Cooley said. \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s relevant to what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Natalie Murphy and Emily Gove traveled from San Francisco for a fall outing and said they had not heard about the stabbing before arriving. Both said they felt safe during their visit.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoking aside, we felt completely safe, and nothing stood out,\u201d Gove said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really does seem like a family-type of place,\u201d Murphy said.<\/p>\n

The women said the violence was difficult to imagine at a family attraction and expressed concern for the victims.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that everyone is doing OK and that maybe some safety measures are taken and people feel comfortable coming here,\u201d Gove said.<\/p>\n

Cooley said the pumpkin patch would continue welcoming visitors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was an isolated incident,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful day. We hope to see you guys out here. We\u2019re not going to let one incident with one individual ruin a great day for thousands of people.\u201d<\/p>\n

The investigation remains active, according to the Sheriff\u2019s Office. Cool Patch Pumpkins remains open.<\/p>\n

The corn maze is widely known for being one of the largest in the world. <\/p>\n
