A little over a month ago, I took a look at the history of the football teams playing in Autzen Stadium this season. I found that there isn\u2019t much of a history in that regard, and that we have a lot of interesting home games against teams that have not played in Autzen<\/a>. I decided to look at men\u2019s basketball next, and see how our conference foes have historically fared in Eugene.<\/p>\n

Well\u2026I discovered that history to be equally sparse.<\/p>\n

Oregon will host Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin this season. Of those seven, only Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan have ever played a match in Mac Court or MKA. Here is the breakdown:<\/p>\n

Oregon has played Iowa five times historically and has a 3-2 record. The only time the Hawkeyes have played in Eugene, however, was in the second round of the NIT on 3\/18\/2012.<\/p>\n

The Ducks rallied from being 15 points down in the first half to come away with the 108-97 victory. E.J. Singler scored 25 points, with 22 points for Olu Ashaolu, 19 points for Carlos Emory, and 15 each for Garrett Sim and Devoe Joseph.<\/p>\n

The Ducks have played the Golden Gophers five times and have a 2-3 record. One of Oregon\u2019s wins was technically a neutral site – Portland – where they picked up a non-conference win on 12\/18\/1999.<\/p>\n

The other Oregon win was a non-conference match on 12\/22\/2002, where Oregon won 90-81. With the win, the Ducks extended their home win streak to 22 games. Ian Crosswhite was the top scorer with 18 points, and Luke Ridnour had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Luke Jackson scored 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists.<\/p>\n

Overall, the Ducks have a 3-3 record against the Wolverines. Their only match in Eugene was a non-conference game on 12\/02\/23, and Oregon took it in overtime, 86-83. Jackson Shelstad hit a three-pointer with less than 2 seconds left to seal the win.<\/p>\n

Brennan Rigsby scored 19 points, including 3-3 from distance. Shelstad scored 14, and Jermaine Couisnard scored 13 with six assists. Kario Oquendo added 13 points.<\/p>\n

Oregon is 0-3 historically against the Spartans. Two of those losses were last season; a conference loss on the road, and the other loss in the Big Ten tournament. MSU has never played in Eugene, but they did defeat the Ducks in a non-conference match in Portland on 11\/25\/2022.<\/p>\n

OSU has never played in Eugene. Oregon has a 1-0 record overall, with a conference win in Columbus last season, 73-71.<\/p>\n

PSU has never played in Eugene. Oregon has a 1-0 record overall, with a conference win in University Park last season, 82-81.<\/p>\n

The Ducks have a 2-3 record against Wisconsin. The Badgers have only played one game in Eugene – a third round NIT win against the Ducks, 61-58, on 3\/21\/2023.<\/p>\n

With B1G teams playing at UO for the first time, Oregon fans are in for a treat this season as they see first-hand programs that have never set foot in Eugene.<\/p>\n
