The announcement was a surprise to many on the Street, as it&#8217;s common practice for earnings release dates to be shared weeks in advance.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">But there may be a few reasons behind SpaceX&#8217;s rushed earnings date.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\">&#8220;Possible explanations include a desire to put updated financials on record ahead of further financing arrangements or share time-sensitive operational\/strategic updates \u2014 either before counterparties do or to give the market time to digest the implications ahead of the sizeable lock-up releases (1.30 billion shares two days after earnings, 329 million on 10\/24, and the remaining 857 million tranche of the 180-day group thereafter).
