{"id":887922,"date":"2026-10-19T17:24:12","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T17:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/887922\/"},"modified":"2026-10-19T17:24:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T17:24:12","slug":"car-keys-in-apple-wallet-coming-soon-to-three-popular-vehicle-brands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/887922\/","title":{"rendered":"Car Keys in Apple Wallet coming soon to three popular vehicle brands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<img width=\"1600\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/apple-wallet-ios-27-app-icon-colors.jpg\" class=\"skip-lazy wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"  decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple Wallet car keys are about to get a big expansion, with <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gm.com\/home.detail.html\/Pages\/topic\/us\/en\/2026\/sep\/0923-key-digital-wallet.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">GM announcing<\/a> support for a variety of vehicles across three of its popular brands: Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC.<\/p>\n<p>Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC to support Apple Wallet car keys across 9 vehicles, with more coming<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As spotted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2026\/10\/19\/gm-vehicles-iphone-apple-wallet-car-keys\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MacRumors<\/a>, GM recently announced its long-awaited Apple Wallet car key rollout that was first mentioned by Apple <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2025\/12\/05\/car-keys-are-coming-to-the-wallet-app-for-13-new-vehicle-brands-soon\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1005555\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in June 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles will all gain support for storing a digital car key in Apple Wallet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Per GM\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gm.com\/home.detail.html\/Pages\/topic\/us\/en\/2026\/sep\/0923-key-digital-wallet.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announcement<\/a>, a very limited rollout started in late September, and is expanding throughout October before hitting more vehicles in December.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/gm-car-key-rollout.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1074769\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As seen in the image above, GM will launch car key support for the following vehicles:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cadillac<\/p>\n<p>Vistiq (2027)<\/p>\n<p>Optiq (2026-2027)<\/p>\n<p>Lyriq (2025-2027)<\/p>\n<p>Escalade (2027)<\/p>\n<p>ESCALADE IQ\/IQL (2027)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chevrolet<\/p>\n<p>Suburban (2026-2027)<\/p>\n<p>Tahoe (2026-2027)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GMC<\/p>\n<p>Yukon (2026-2027)<\/p>\n<p>Yukon XL (2026-2027)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With support for all of these models launching before year\u2019s end, this represents one of the broadest car key expansions of late.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GM also confirms that the rollout \u201cwill continue across additional GM vehicles over time.\u201d It says when a vehicle adds car key support, customers will get notified in the \u2018What\u2019s New\u2019 section of their vehicle\u2019s app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you use Apple Wallet car key?
