BOSTON (WHDH) – Chris Donisi thinks he has what it takes to be the next voice of Logan Airport.<\/p>\n
Boston\u2019s Logan Airport held auditions to be the new voice for announcements throughout the airport, and they have narrowed it down to eight finalists. Airport officials said they are looking for someone distinctly Boston, who brings the vibe of the city to life.<\/p>\n
The New England-native is a pipefitter from Arlington, and a proud momma\u2019s boy! He said he never thought he\u2019d have the opportunity to be a voice actor, but it\u2019s an experience he\u2019s taking in stride. <\/p>\n
\u201cMy mother found this on a whim. She said you\u2019d be perfect, and I tried it out, and here I am,\u201d Donisi said. \u201cMillion people hearing my voice? That would be something special.\u201d<\/p>\n
Donisi may be humble, but he is filled with hometown pride. <\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like I relate to the people of Boston because of, you know, me being homegrown here,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
When he\u2019s not rooting for the Celtics or Bruins, you might find him sitting in that notorious Boston traffic. And if his accent doesn\u2019t convince you, just imagine how excited his mother would be if he had your vote!<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019d be ecstatic, absolutely, she\u2019d be very happy for me,\u201d Donisi said. \u201cIt would just be something I would never expect to be me.\u201d<\/p>\n
So, the next time you fly through Logan, it might be Chris welcoming you home.<\/p>\n
