(WBTV) &#8211; A sports agent who represents several of NASCAR\u2019s biggest stars was arrested in Mecklenburg County on Thursday, court records revealed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">An affidavit alleged 52-year-old Rod Moskowitz was driving his 2023 Toyota Sequioa in an \u201caggressive and reckless manner\u201d along Cramur Drive in Huntersville, just after noon on Oct. 22.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The affidavit said a Huntersville police officer saw Moskowitz driving, and saw him drive into a ditch and momentarily get stuck. Moskowitz then reportedly backed out of the ditch and pulled into a home\u2019s driveway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The document said several people &#8212; including multiple officers &#8212; then tried to get Moskowitz to stop. One officer allegedly waved his hands at Moskowitz and had to step out of the way three times to avoid being hit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officers were eventually able to get Moskowitz out of the vehicle and arrested him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a government employee, and was taken to the Mecklenburg County jail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">&#8212;&gt; Also Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/2026\/10\/22\/local-south-carolina-race-track-done-racing-after-decades-despite-attracting-nascar-stars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/2026\/10\/22\/local-south-carolina-race-track-done-racing-after-decades-despite-attracting-nascar-stars\/\">South Carolina short track done racing after decades despite attracting NASCAR stars<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Records showed Moskowitz\u2019s bond was set at $1,000 during a court appearance on Friday, Oct. 23.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Moskowitz is listed as the CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prosportmanagement.com\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.prosportmanagement.com\/about\">PROSPORT Management<\/a>, as well as the head of its racing division.
