WWE legend Ric Flair was hospitalized after falling outside of a Florida restaurant while dealing with a blood clot in his leg. <\/p>\n
The 77-year-old retired American professional wrestler, whose real name is Richard Morgan Fliehr, said in an Instagram post Saturday <\/a>that he spent the night in a Tampa hospital.<\/p>\n Flair had fallen outside a Wagamama restaurant in Tampa on Friday, cutting his head and eye, TMZ reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThank You All For The Messages And Prayers! I Will Get Back To You Each Individually As I Get Stronger,\u201d Flair wrote in a post Saturday. \u201cThank You To All The Tampa General Hospital Staff And Doctors That Put Up With Me Until 4:30am. I Appreciate You All And Thank You For Everything You Did For Me!\u201d<\/p>\n The wrestling icon said he\u2019s on the mend. <\/p>\n \u201cI Am Focused On My Healing And Recovery Right Now,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cI Will Be Okay!\u201d<\/p>\n He shared a photo of himself smiling with a patch covering one of his eyes. <\/p>\n His daughter, Charlotte Flair, a WWE wrestler, joked on X<\/a> about that fall, saying: \u201cNot my dad telling the doctor he fell bc of warrior dropping him on his head\u2026(ps: he\u2019s going to be ok).\u201d<\/p>\n Just hours before his fall, Flair had told his fans he had to cancel an appearance at the Washington State Horror Con in Seattle due to a blood clot in his leg. <\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately, I Am Dealing With A Blood Clot In My Leg, And My Doctors Have Limited My Travel To 3\u20134 Hours. Seattle Falls Outside That Range, And As Disappointed As I Am, I Have To Put My Health And Recovery First,\u201d he posted on Instagram Friday<\/a>. <\/p>\n Flair warned that blood clots are \u201cextremely serious and can be life-threatening\u201d and that he has a procedure scheduled to \u201cstrip the affected vein.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI Look Forward To Getting Healthy And Seeing You All Down The Road.
