{"id":893538,"date":"2026-10-24T23:30:19","date_gmt":"2026-10-24T23:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/893538\/"},"modified":"2026-10-24T23:30:19","modified_gmt":"2026-10-24T23:30:19","slug":"two-arkansas-hospitals-recognized-for-heart-attack-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/893538\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Arkansas hospitals recognized for heart attack care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Joint Commission awarded two non-PCI hospitals Acute Heart Attack Ready certificates after demonstrating a quick and effective response for heart attack patients<\/p>\n<p>LITTLE ROCK, Ark. \u2014 Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) announced that Baptist Health Medical Center and North Arkansas Regional Medical Center earned Acute Heart Attack Ready certifications.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Joint Commission awards these certifications to hospitals that demonstrate the ability to quickly recognize heart attack symptoms, provide timely treatment, and deliver appropriate care when needed.<\/p>\n<p>Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County and North Arkansas Regional Medical Center are the first hospitals in Arkansas without percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) capabilities to earn the certification.<\/p>\n<p>Bala Simon, the ADH&#8217;s deputy chief medical officer, said every minute counts during a heart attack.
