\n\tAfter Warner Bros<\/a>. hit The Vow<\/a> with a cease-and-desist earlier this month, Chris Harrison<\/a> has addressed the legal drama.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe former Bachelor Nation host, whose new dating show premieres Nov. 11 on Fox Nation<\/a>, said it felt \u201cpersonal\u201d after Warner Bros\u2019 recent letter accusing the reality show of copyright and trademark infringement<\/a> in a teaser<\/a> released last month. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t see them going after the 50, 60, 70 other relationship dating shows that have come on in the time that I was there or since I left,\u201d Harrison told USA Today<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s been one show that they\u2019ve gone after. Is that a coincidence? You be the judge.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the letter, Ahassim Rashid, VP and intellectual property counsel for Warner Bros Entertainment, called out the alleged unauthorized use of the studio\u2019s IP<\/a> in the teaser, citing images of red rose petals \u201cfalling in the background with text in the foreground,\u201d noting that WB had licensed that motif to third parties for separate advertisements and promotion.<\/p>\n

\n\tRashid also objected to the use of the words \u201cThe Bachelor\u201d in the teaser, followed by the image of a man in a tux holding a rose. Also cited was the image of a \u201cmansion in the background meant to evoke the iconic \u2018Bachelor Mansion.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe letter added that the teaser \u201crepresents a plain attempt to capitalize on and \u2018ride on the coattails’\u201d of The Bachelor.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn response, Fox News Media\u2019s executive VP and general counsel Katherine Moran Meeks contended that Warner Bros\u2019 attorneys \u201cwrongly assume that Warner Bros. holds any intellectual property rights whatsoever in a falling roses motif or in the words \u2018The Bachelor\u2019 when used colloquially to describe a single man.\u201d<\/p>\n
