ROCHESTER \u2014 Jeanne and Steve Wilson said they have heard the same review time and time again \u2014 that their home, which they have opened up to the public as an Airbnb for the past four years, is simply peaceful.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s funny, because they\u2019ll go, \u2018I can\u2019t quite figure out what\u2019s going on here,\u2019\u201d Jeanne said of her guests. \u201c\u2018Maybe it\u2019s the bed. Can you send us the model of the mattress?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re all saying it must be the furniture,\u201d she added. \u201cWell, it\u2019s really the peace that the house brings.\u201d<\/p>\n

The house at 1881 65th St. NE has <\/p>\n

garnered more than 200 reviews and boasts an average rating of 4.98 stars out of 5 on Airbnb.com.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Wilsons have deemed the condo, complete with a separate entrance, the \u201cCedar Loft\u201d after the home’s cedar siding.<\/p>\n

The home is located on a wooded 4-acre lot and is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Rochester.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people drive back here and say, I didn\u2019t even realize this was here,\u201d Steve said. \u201cSo, you have your own little haven.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Wilsons have lived in the home for the past 19 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, I loved it because it was unique,\u201d Jeanne said. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t like any of the other houses we had looked at.\u201d<\/p>\n

The home is now <\/p>\n

listed for sale at $1,134,300.<\/a><\/p>\n

Designed in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright, the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home \u201cis a house for living,\u201d Steve said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very intentional about the architectural design,\u201d he added. \u201cEvery corner of the house has places to sit outside.\u201d<\/p>\n

A limestone motif wraps around the long, linear house and continues inside with a limestone wall in the living room. A floating staircase connects the first floor to the second. On the second floor, exposed wood beams run along the slanted ceiling.<\/p>\n

The Wilsons have also incorporated their own sustainable lifestyle into the home. More than $100,000 has been invested in the utility room and mechanical updates, like the house\u2019s geothermal heating and cooling system.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have incorporated a lot of sustainable living elements where we raise a lot of our own food,\u201d Steve said. \u201cThere hasn\u2019t been any chemicals on the place for probably about four years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeanne said that she has spent most of her time in the house in the kitchen, canning, freezing and preparing food. That kitchen comes with a large center island and a sunroom nook off to the side that overlooks the gardens.<\/p>\n

The gardens \u2014 which the Wilsons use to grow their food \u2014 black walnut, spruce and maple trees and a hiking trail fill the home\u2019s four-acre lot.<\/p>\n

In the primary bathroom are a Jacuzzi tub and a sauna.<\/p>\n

Also on the property is a barn that could be used for storage or as a workshop.<\/p>\n

The Wilsons are looking to move to Wabasha County to be closer to their two grown children. They are also looking forward to having more room to grow their gardens.<\/p>\n
