Dr. Wendy Woods-Swafford, the chief medical officer for UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, is stepping down from her role to join ChildServe as its chief medical officer in January.<\/p>\n
Woods-Swafford was the longtime medical director at Blank Children’s Hospital before becoming UnityPoint Des Moines’ chief medical officer last year. She is also a pediatric oncologist. <\/p>\n
ChildServe, a private nonprofit pediatric healthcare organization that helps children with special needs, shared a statement from Woods-Swafford. <\/p>\n
“I am honored to work alongside the dedicated team members who are making a meaningful difference,” Woods-Swafford said. <\/p>\n
