Designed by ODP Architecture & Design and developed by Terra and One Thousand Group in partnership with Major Food Group, the 650-foot-tall structure will yield 70 half-floor and full-floor condominium residences overlooking Biscayne Bay. Moss Construction is serving as general contractor, with interiors designed by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co. Completion is anticipated in late 2027.

Recent aerial photos show the reinforced concrete superstructure at its full height, with work continuing across the uppermost levels and glass installation steadily progressing to the upper floors.

Villa Miami. Courtesy of Terra and One Thousand Group.

The first photo looks down onto the top of the tower from an elevation above the two cranes, providing a clear view of crews working across the uppermost slab with Biscayne Bay extending across the background.

A second aerial view is captured from approximately the height of the tower and shows the full upper portion of the structure framed between the two tower cranes. Blue-tinted glazing has enclosed much of the lower and middle elevations including the glass that goes into the chamfered edges, while several upper stories remain exposed behind temporary safety netting and perimeter barriers.

Villa Miami. Courtesy of Terra and One Thousand Group.

The third photo focuses on the middle section of the tower, where glass installation has progressed across the broad elevations and around portions of the corners. Several floors remain partially open between completed sections of glazing, while unfinished concrete columns continue vertically along the exterior. The image also appears to show the first sections of exterior cladding being installed along a portion of the exoskeleton. The panels are currently white, while the completed structural frame is designed to feature the copper-toned finish depicted in the project’s renderings.

Villa Miami. Courtesy of Terra and One Thousand Group.

The final photo looks upward along the building from a lower elevation, emphasizing the tower’s slender proportions and the progression of the façade toward the unfinished upper floors. Large expanses of blue glass cover much of the elevation, while balconies and exposed concrete frame the opposite side of the structure. Both tower cranes remain in place above.

Villa Miami. Courtesy of Terra and One Thousand Group.

DeSimone Consulting Engineers is serving as structural engineer, while Capform has been involved with shell construction.

The building is characterized by a slender waterfront massing with rounded corners, broad expanses of glazing, and stacked private terraces. Curtain wall installation has advanced across much of the tower, while the exposed upper floors remain several stages behind the completed portions of the envelope.

Villa Miami marks Major Food Group’s first branded residential development and will incorporate the hospitality company’s food, beverage, and residential service programming.

The building’s 70 residences will be arranged in half-floor and full-floor configurations. The upper portion of the tower will culminate in a penthouse residence recently listed at $55 million.

Villa Miami. The continued activation of the Baywalk adds a defining amenity to the neighborhood, creating a more accessible, walkable waterfront connecting residents to the bay and the surrounding community.”

“We approached Villa Miami with the same level of detail and ambition that has defined our restaurants and clubs, but on an entirely new scale,” said Jeff Zalaznick, Co-Founder of Major Food Group. “The opportunity was to think about hospitality not as an experience that lasts for a few hours, but as something that can shape how people live every day.”

“Villa Miami was envisioned as a project that would make a lasting contribution to Miami’s waterfront and skyline,” said Kevin Venger of One Thousand Group. “Reaching this milestone is exciting because you can now see that vision taking shape—from the architecture and design to the overall experience we’re creating for residents.”

“Villa Miami represents the caliber of design and construction that continues to elevate Miami’s skyline,” said Ed Baro, Executive Vice President of Moss Construction. “Topping out is a proud milestone for our team and reflects the level of quality and execution behind this project.”

Subscribe to YIMBY’s daily e-mail

Follow YIMBYgram for real-time photo updates
Like YIMBY on Facebook
Follow YIMBY’s Twitter for the latest in YIMBYnews

Uncategorized

Construction has topped out on Villa Miami, a 56-story residential skyscraper at 710 Northeast 29th Street in Edgewater,…

[56
228,226,227,229,88
post-897597","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-arts-and-design","tag-arts","tag-arts-and-design","tag-artsanddesign","tag-design","tag-entertainment
["GET
