WASHINGTON (TNND) — Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham said that the FBI is watching 20 stalkers for her as she’s become more high-profile.

“The more you’re visible on TV, you’re going to get more fans. Like people are going to know who you are, and that’s a really great thing,” Cunningham said on Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast episode released Wednesday.

“But there’s also a lot of, like, kind of crazy people, too, that — we do have a lot of stalkers. I know I do. And, like, that’s a negative side of things that people don’t think about. And so you do want to feel secure,” she said.

When Von asked Cunningham if she had any stalkers, she said, “Oh my gosh. Yeah. Like, we’ll have to check if I’m even allowed to say this, but like have I think 20 I think people kind of that the FBI are watching for me. Me alone.”

While Cunningham said she didn’t know who the 20 people were, she mentioned an alleged stalker she had who was arrested in June.

Kevin Singh, of Indiana, allegedly threatened Cunningham and sent her explicit messages, Athlon Sports reported. He is facing charges of stalking and intimidation, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Singh has been held in Marion County Jail since his arrest in June, and his bail was set at $40,000.

The FBI’s involvement in watching Cunningham’s stalkers has not been independently verified, OutKick reported.

Cunningham also told Von that with the WNBA’s increasing popularity, teams are tightening their security for the players.

“I know some teams are still kind of working on making sure everyone gets to a certain level, but I know that the Fever are there. Like we’re at the highest level you can get at, right?” she said.
