Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Barmore has played only 41.9% of the Patriot\u2019s snaps on defense so far this season and is now third in the team\u2019s rotation behind Milton Williams, who New England signed in free agency, and Cory Durden. Barmore has recorded six tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble in those limited snaps. He also has 12 combined quarterback pressures, coming in second of New England\u2019s interior lineman behind Williams\u2019s 14.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/articles\/christian-barmore-available-trade-report-131438707.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Barmore\u2019s cap number is $17.1 million<\/a>, and the Patriots rank towards the bottom in available cap space. CJ Gunther\/UPI\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>New England signed Barmore to a four-year, $84 million extension in April 2024 with a max of $92 million including incentives.<\/p>\n<p>Immediately after inking his extension, however, Barmore was sidelined for much of the 2024 season with a blood clot issue, limiting him to just four games.<\/p>\n<p>Barmore is the longest-tenured defensive player on New England\u2019s roster. He was drafted by the Patriots out of Alabama in the second round in 2021, and is one of a few remaining players on their roster <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/new-england-patriots\/christian-barmore-reportedly-available-trades-deadline\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">selected by Bill Belichick<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Patriots have made defensive tackle Christian Barmore available for trade, per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
