In the opening of her video, Blair said, \u201cI know I\u2019ve been quiet for a couple weeks since October 11th, and you deserve to hear from me directly. And I\u2019m sorry that it\u2019s taken this long.\u201d <\/p>\n
Blair was on a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York City when she allegedly became \u201cphysically abusive\u201d and was removed from the plane, authorities in New York said at the time. Two flight attendants reported injuries, and one was taken to a hospital, Port Authority said. <\/p>\n
The actor was charged with two counts of second-degree assault related to her alleged actions after the flight. She is accused of kicking a Port Authority police officer who took her to the hospital and a nurse at the hospital later. She pleaded not guilty <\/a>to those charges. <\/p>\n In her video, Blair defended her character, saying it\u2019s not her nature to harm others. <\/p>\n \u201cWhat I can tell you, though, is very simple, and the truest thing I know about myself, and that not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone a day in my life,\u201d Blair said. <\/p>\n She thanked those who reached out with love and support. <\/p>\n \u201cIt has meant everything to me and my son, who is my world, as is Scout, who is also OK,\u201d she said, referring to her service dog. <\/p>\n \u201cSo right now, I\u2019m going to be taking care of my health and my son, and thinking of you all with gratitude and love,\u201d she said, concluding her video. <\/p>\n Blair revealed in 2018 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis<\/a>, an autoimmune disorder that attacks healthy cells in the central nervous system, according to the National Institutes of Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n Blair\u2019s attorney stated in court that her actions were the result of a medical emergency, citing diagnoses of multiple sclerosis and Parkinsonism.<\/p>\n At her Oct. 12 arraignment, her attorney, Shawn Barnes, told the judge that he doesn\u2019t believe the assault was intentional and that the star had missed several doses of medication and also fell and hit her head on the flight. <\/p>\n Blair\u2019s representative separately said in a statement that Blair had \u201cexperienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct.\u201d<\/p>\n The case was adjourned until Jan. 19, the DA\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n![\"Selma](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/261030-selma-blair-ww-1541-48e92f.jpg\")
