Brooks Koepka made it clear this week who he is siding with in the dispute between Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy.<\/p>\n
Appearing Thursday on the Dan on Golf YouTube channel (beginning at the 23:15 mark), Koepka was asked about DeChambeau taking issue with McIlroy not speaking to him during the final round of the 2025 Masters:<\/p>\n
“[McIlroy] shouldn’t have,” Koepka said. “[DeChambeau] lives in his own world. I don’t think many people want to talk to him regardless. I wouldn’t have spoken to Rory and I don’t think Rory would have spoken to me, and it would have been totally fine.”<\/p>\n
After McIlroy held on to win the 2025 Masters and complete the career Grand Slam, DeChambeau spoke about the communication between himself and McIlroy, or lack thereof, during the last round.<\/p>\n
“Didn’t talk to me once all day,” DeChambeau told reporters<\/a>. “He wouldn’t talk to me. He was just like\u2014just being focused, I guess. It’s not me, though.”<\/p>\n During the 2026 Open Championship in July, McIlroy criticized DeChambeau for suggesting he would perhaps pull out of the tournament after incurring a two-stroke penalty.<\/p>\n
