\n\tL\u00e9a Seydoux<\/a> is getting an American Cinematheque<\/a> retrospective celebrating her extensive filmography.<\/p>\n

\n\tOver the course of two decades, Seydoux has built an acclaimed career<\/a> in independent filmmaking (the Cannes Palme d\u2019Or winner \u201cBlue is the Warmest Color\u201d) and major productions (Denis Villeneuve\u2019s \u201cDune\u201d movies and two James Bond films). <\/p>\n

\n\tSeydoux\u2019s American Cinematheque retrospective runs Thurs. Nov. 12-15 in Los Angeles, and features four of her films: Mia Hansen-L\u00f8ve\u2019s \u201cOne Fine Morning,\u201d Abdellatif Kechiche\u2019s \u201cBlue is the Warmest Color,\u201d Bertrand Bonello\u2019s \u201cThe Beast\u201d and Marie Kreutzer\u2019s \u201cGentle Monster.\u201d The French film star will appear for an in-person conversation about Netflix\u2019s \u201cGentle Monster\u201d with Kreutzer. In the harrowing film, Seydoux stars as a wife and mother reeling from the revelation her partner is involved in a ring producing child sex abuse materials. The story follows as Seydoux\u2019s Lucy, a renowned pianist, confronts the complexities of love, trust and deception.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe American Cinematheque is a member-supported nonprofit cultural arts organization that has supported the movie-going experience since 1985. The Cinematheque showcases over 2,000 films per year and, last year, hosted a retrospective series for Oscar nominee Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a>, as well as eventual best actor Oscar winner Michael B. Jordan.<\/p>\n
