\n\tAfter Gal Gadot<\/a> brought up the pressure in Hollywood to speak out against Israel<\/a>, she clarified that wasn\u2019t the only reason for Snow White<\/a>\u2018s box office flop.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing her appearance on the Israeli talk show The A Talks, in which she said the Disney<\/a> live-action remake \u201cwas greatly affected<\/a>\u201d by discourse around her and Rachel Zegler<\/a>\u2018s opposing stances on the Israel-Hamas war<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was honored to join an extraordinary interview with inspiring interviewers, whose questions go straight to the heart,\u201d wrote Gadot Sunday on her Instagram Story.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSometimes we respond to questions from an emotional place. When the film came out, I felt that those who are against Israel criticized me in a very personal, almost visceral way. They saw me first and foremost as an Israeli, not as an actress. That\u2019s the perspective I spoke from when I answered the question.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGadot continued, \u201cOf course, the film didn\u2019t fail solely because of external pressures. There are many factors that determine why a film succeeds or fails, and success is never guaranteed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn The A Talks, the actress noted she \u201creally enjoyed filming this movie<\/a>,\u201d adding: \u201cI even enjoyed working with Rachel Zegler. We laughed, we talked and it was fun. I was sure that this movie was going to be a huge success.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd then October 7 happened, and what\u2019s happening in all kinds of industries, and also in Hollywood, is that there\u2019s a lot of pressure on celebrities to speak out against Israel,\u201d she said, adding that she \u201c\u201dan always explain and try to give people in the world context about what\u2019s happening and what the reality is here, but in the end, people decide for themselves. I was disappointed that the movie was greatly affected by that and didn\u2019t do well at the box office.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGadot, who was born in Israel and served in the IDF, has previously expressed her support for Israel, sparking pro-Palestine protests<\/a> at her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in March.
