\n\tMichael Douglas<\/a> is giving fans an update on Jack Nicholson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile promoting his new memoir, \u201cOne Helluva Ride,\u201d at a recent event, Douglas was asked about Nicholson and his relationship with the \u201cSomething\u2019s Gotta Give\u201d actor. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI would have liked to have acted with Jack,\u201d Douglas said. \u201cHe\u2019s not working anymore. He\u2019s well. He has disappeared. I know that.\u201d He continued: \u201cI still see him, but he is fine. He is up there by his house and walking around in his slippers. It happens. He deserves it. I understand. He is a few years older than me, but I understand.\u201d (Douglas is 82, while Nicholson is 89.)<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile the two never shared the screen, Douglas produced the 1975 film \u201cOne Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest,\u201d in which Nicholson starred as Randle McMurphy. The film earned nine Oscar nominations and won five, including best actor for Nicholson and best picture.<\/p>\n

\n\tThough Nicholson\u2019s never made a formal statement announcing his retirement, the Oscar-winner hasn\u2019t appeared in a film since \u201cHow Do You Know\u201d in 2010. He\u2019s also infrequently photographed, though his daughter, Lorraine, shared a snap of the star for his birthday in April.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe photo, posted on her Instagram story, shows Nicholson clapping and smiling while sitting next to Joni Mitchell<\/a>. Lorraine didn\u2019t indicate when the photo was taken, but simply wrote on the photo, \u201c\u00a1\u00a1 89 !!\u201d after posting a photo of a younger Jack in a Coca-Cola shirt with, \u201c89?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNicholson\u2019s last public appearance was during the \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d 50th anniversary television special<\/a> on NBC in February 2025, which he attended with his daughter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Michael Douglas is giving fans an update on Jack Nicholson.
