"What

Ever since I was a little kid I yearned for a World Series championship for the Milwaukee Brewers.

In the 2025 season, I had the opportunity to be at American Family Field for opening day against the Kansas City Royals. That season, I went to 26 different games across two other stadiums. I was able to go to two playoff games, NLDS game 2 and NLCS game 2. I was able to witness the last game played at American Family Field that season, and I left heartbroken.

This season, going into the playoffs, I was expecting the same thing as the previous years: to be stopped by the Los Angeles Dodgers. If you would have told me last year that the Brewers swept the Dodgers, I would have laughed in your face.

Watching the Brewers go to the World Series, I immediately broke down in tears and called my dad. My dad is the person I talk to the most about baseball, asking to go to games, asking him about players to pick up on my fantasy team. Hearing him choked up on the phone was beautiful and made the moment much more impactful than if I would have been in Los Angeles with the team.

Baseball has always been part of my life, between watching the team as I grew up with to playing baseball and working in sports. I have always had a love for baseball and especially the Brewers. Playing baseball throughout my childhood, I was the only girl in the league and always faced challenges with being a woman in sports and being harassed about liking sports. Being part of the women in sports culture, this World Series hit so much harder.

Being able to spend the game with my dad and feel all the emotions together was so much more emotional than I ever thought it would be. I was also able to go down to the Bob Uecker memorial in January 2025 and sign the banner that the Brewers displayed. With how many stories my dad told me, listening on the radio, and more it was bittersweet knowing Uecker was celebrating watching over the team.

Ever since I was a little kid I yearned for a World Series championship for the Milwaukee Brewers. …

[65
363,99
post-902961","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-mlb","tag-mlb","tag-sports
["GET
