He will shift into an advisory role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Wolfe has been with the Dodgers since Guggenheim Partners took over ownership of the team in 2012, and headed the club\u2019s day-to-day business operations for the last 14-plus seasons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cHaving worked 47 years in team sports, I\u2019ve been more entertained than anyone deserves,\u201d Wolfe said in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s been a privilege to ride the coattails of so many on- and off-the-field Hall of Famers, will-be Hall of Famers and should-be Hall of Famers. With Stan always providing the vision, I\u2019ve had the latitude to work closely with the talented individuals and departments that make these organizations grow and succeed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup _1bij9g79 _1bij9g78 _1mt21p01\">But there\u2019s another way to parse the situation. The owners might also view an offseason lockout \u2014 and maybe a relatively small number of missed games \u2014 as a low-risk opportunity to go for what they really want.
