The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is asking consumers to check their medicine cabinets after thousands of blood pressure medication bottles were recalled nationwide. <\/p>\n

According to the FDA’s website<\/a>, New Jersey-based Macleods Pharma USA is recalling certain lots of Olmesartan Medoxomil, Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets. <\/p>\n

The recall was issued on Oct. 7, 2026, with the FDA later instituting a Class II rating on Oct. 26, 2026. A Class II recall means the use of the affected medication may cause “temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”<\/p>\n

Officials said the recall covers 3,528 30-count bottles from lot 12251163A and 216 90-count bottles from lot 12251163B. Both lots expire May 31, 2027.<\/p>\n

An enforcement report said the medication failed to meet quality standards, meaning the pills did not dissolve as required during testing. <\/p>\n

The recall comes after Inventia Healthcare recalled certain lots of chlorthalidone tablets back in June<\/a>. Then, on Sept. 3, 2026, the company initiated a separate recall involving an additional lot of the medication.
