Hailey Bieber felt alone battling premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) after giving birth to her son, Jack Blues.<\/p>\n
The Rhode founder, 29, spoke about her diagnosis in a recent interview with Women\u2019s Wear Daily<\/a>. According to the Mayo Clinic<\/a>, PMDD is a severe extension of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) that causes extreme mood swings.<\/p>\n Behavioral symptoms can include sadness or hopelessness, anxiety, extreme moodiness, irritability and anger.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter I had my son, I struggled with [PMDD] a bit, and there\u2019s just not a lot of conversation or research around it,\u201d Bieber said.<\/p>\n The model said talking about her struggles has helped her.<\/p>\n Hailey Bieber (seen here last month) spoke out about her \u201clonely journey\u201d with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in an interview with Women\u2019s Wear Daily. hailey bieber\/ instagram<\/p>\n The Rhode founder was diagnosed after giving birth to her son, Jack Blues. They\u2019re seen here in April 2025. haileybieber\/Instagram<\/p>\n \u201cConversation, for me personally, makes me feel less alone,\u201d she shared. \u201cWhen we can identify with each other and have conversations relating to each other and talking about the things we\u2019re dealing with and struggling with, I do think it makes it feel like less of a lonely journey.\u201d<\/p>\n Bieber told WWD she was drawn to women\u2019s health, and was frustrated with the lack of awareness about it.<\/p>\n \u201cEspecially after having my own child. That was just a really intense and special journey that I had,\u201d she explained. \u201cThere\u2019s so much that happens when you are pregnant, during childbirth. Like, \u2018Why does it feel like my whole entire life is going to end?’\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cIt sucks,\u201d she added. \u201cIt is also dangerous, and it should be taken seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n Hailey isn\u2019t the only celeb who has spoken out about having PMDD. \u201cRiverdale\u201d alum Lili Reinhart, singer Zara Larsson and influencer Dixie D\u2019Amelio have all openly talked about having the disorder.<\/p>\n
