(WECT) &#8211; Photographer Melissa Dupuis was in the WECT digital studio to talk about her new exhibit, \u2018Silent Caretakers\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Dupuis said the collection represents life\u2019s small things. It includes her photographs of birds, bees, flowers, trees, spiders and crabs, which were taken locally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cBig things happen every day. Big things in our world, big things in our lives. But what I try to capture are the smaller things,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I hope that people will appreciate that and see it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u2018Silent Caretakers\u2019 is on display through Nov. 21 at Intracoastal Realty on Front Street in downtown Wilmington. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Dupuis\u2019 work is also at Gallery Citrine on Second Street year-round.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Watch the full interview at the top of this story.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WECT.
