NEW YORK — Jannik Sinner<\/a> has a new partner for the US Open mixed doubles tournament, where Emma Raducanu<\/a> and Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> will face the No. 1-seeded team in the first round.<\/p>\n

The remainder of the 16-team field was completed Sunday and the draw was conducted ahead of the two-day event that begins Tuesday and pays $1 million to the winning team.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz and Raducanu, both past US Open singles champions, face the team of Jessica Pegula<\/a> and Jack Draper<\/a>, who drew the No. 1 seed<\/a> based on the lowest combined singles rankings.<\/p>\n

The top-ranked Sinner will now play with 10-time women’s doubles major champion Katerina Siniakova<\/a>. He had been scheduled to team with Emma Navarro<\/a>, before she withdrew to play in the women’s tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, next week.<\/p>\n

The other teams added to the event Sunday are two-time US Open women’s champion Naomi Osaka<\/a> and Gael Monfils<\/a>, Karolina Muchova<\/a> and Andrey Rublev<\/a>, and Caty McNally and Lorenzo Musetti<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Musetti had been scheduled to play with fellow Italian Jasmine Paolini<\/a>, but she is playing Iga Swiatek<\/a> in the Cincinnati final Monday and withdrew. Swiatek remains in the field with partner Casper Ruud<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sinner and the second-ranked Alcaraz face off in the men’s final and will have a quick turnaround to their doubles openers in New York.<\/p>\n

Sinner and Siniakova, who were given one of the eight wild cards, will open against the team of Alexander Zverev<\/a> and Belinda Bencic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The remaining first-round matchups: Olga Danilovic<\/a> and Novak Djokovic<\/a> vs. Mirra Andreeva<\/a> and Daniil Medvedev<\/a>; No. 3 Swiatek and Ruud vs. Madison Keys<\/a> and Frances Tiafoe<\/a>; Osaka and Monfils vs. McNally and Musetti; Taylor Townsend<\/a> and Ben Shelton<\/a> vs. No. 4 Amanda Anisimova<\/a> and Holger Rune<\/a>; Venus Williams<\/a> and Reilly Opelka<\/a> vs. Muchova and Rublev; and No. 2 Elena Rybakina<\/a> and Taylor Fritz<\/a> vs. Sara Errani<\/a> and Andrea Vavassori<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Errani and Vavassori are the defending US Open champions and the only traditional doubles team in the field.<\/p>\n
