Donald Trump set the world on fire with his social media post on Saturday telling folks that Attorney General Pam Bondi was doing a fantastic job while encouraging everyone to forget about the Epstein files.<\/a><\/p>\n

He took in the FIFA Club World Cup at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, too.<\/p>\n

And while he was doing all that, Trump apparently somehow managed to win another club golf championship.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn between meetings and phone calls, it was a Great Honor to win the Member-Member Championship, at Trump National, Bedminster (Gross, no strokes), with Tommy Urciuoli as my partner,\u201d Trump announced on Truth Social. \u201cThe many other competitors were not only great Golfers, but also terrific people!\u201d<\/p>\n

The 79-year-old has quite the knack for winning club championships, which is something social media took notice of.<\/p>\n

\u201cAuthoritarian leaders routinely \u2018winning\u2019 sporting events is a well-established thing,\u201d Beth Martin wrote on X. \u201cSee Putin & hockey, Kim Jung II\u2019s multiple holes in 1 in his 1st evr round of golf, & Turkmenistan\u2019s Berdymukhamedov falling off his horse after a race \u2018win.\u2019 It\u2019s part of the strongman MO.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother championship for Trump today in one of his tournaments,\u201d Ron Filipkowski wrote on X. <\/a>\u201cThe guy never loses in his own events.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump is the greatest golfer we have ever seen in history,\u201d the Dad In Georgia account responded. \u201cThe likes of which we have never seen before.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWho feels a need to give themselves awards all the time?\u201d another wrote. <\/p>\n

\u201cAlmost like they\u2019re all rigged,\u201d another wrote. <\/p>\n

While some may question Trump\u2019s knack for winning club titles all the time, they were all kind compared to author Rick Reilly. Reilly has written entitled \u201cCommander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump,\u201d and often criticizes the president\u2019s golf brags.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s love for golf is unquestioned, though.<\/p>\n

According to DidTrumpGolfToday.com<\/a>, the president has spent more than 22 percent of his second term golfing at an estimated cost of $56 million to taxpayers since taking office on Jan. 20.<\/p>\n

It has yet to record the president\u2019s time golfing this weekend at Bedminster. <\/p>\n

That number also does not count the $600,000 revealed recently that the Secret Service is spending on golf carts and portable toilets for Bedminster. The Independent reported that the agency<\/a> \u201csigned a pair of definitive contracts with Associate Golf Car Service of Poughkeepsie, New York and Restroom Resources LLC of Wrightstown, New Jersey,\u201d per federal records.<\/p>\n

So, he definitely spends plenty of money working on his game. <\/p>\n

And, yes, while Trump mostly golfs at his properties, the American taxpayer still foots the bill for the costs for him to play there.<\/p>\n

Trump spent an estimated $151.5 million of taxpayer money golfing across his first term so he is well on his way to blowing that total out of the water during this second term.<\/p>\n

Those are big numbers. Lot of millions spent hitting a little white ball. Which brings the obvious question of just how much it costs for the president to play a round of golf.<\/p>\n

Well, for those concerned about how much it costs Americans for the president to play, the figures are from a 2019 Government Accountability Office report that examined Trump\u2019s first four trips to Mar-a-Lago during his first administration. You can see the report, here. <\/a>It calculated that each of those trips cost $3,383,250, and that was based on 2017 dollars meaning that the actual cost today is likely higher than the estimate.<\/p>\n

The costs involved with him golfing in Florida include flying in on Air Force One. Also, per the site, the military flies the vehicles for his motorcade in on C-17s each time he makes the trip. Also, because Mar-a-Lago, where Trump stays while he plays at his courses, is on the water, police boats with machine guns and a Coast Guard vessel have to be called in to patrol. The site said additional costs included law enforcement and bomb sniffing dogs.<\/p>\n
