\n\tFlorence and the Machine<\/a> will hand out the ultimate Halloween treat, with their new album, Everybody Scream, set to arrive on Oct. 31.<\/p>\n \n\tThe group confirmed the LP on social media Tuesday, Aug. 19, sharing the cover art and a short message: \u201cFlorence and the Machine. Everybody Scream. The new album. This Halloween.\u201d The announcement follows a string of teasers, including a cryptic video shared on social media last week that showed Florence Welch<\/a> digging a hole in a field with a dagger and then screaming into it.<\/p>\n \n\tSeveral versions of Everybody Scream were also made available for pre-order<\/a> on Florence and the Machine\u2019s website. The LP will contain 12 new songs (a full track list hasn\u2019t been released yet), though deluxe editions on both CD and vinyl will contain additional \u201cchamber versions\u201d of four tracks on the album.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tEverybody Scream will be Florence and the Machine\u2019s sixth studio album and first since 2022\u2019s Dance Fever. Not much else is known about the new album at this point, though Welch may have dropped a few hints in a photo dump on Instagram<\/a> back in early July. The slideshow included a picture of Welch in the studio with Idles guitarist Mark Bowen, and another of a whiteboard filled with a mix of mantras and ideas, such as \u201cClarity = Power,\u201d \u201cVOCALS!!!,\u201d and \u201cSwans vs. Adele.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tFlorence and the Machine have shared some new music since dropping Dance Fever, including the 2023 single \u201cMermaids.\u201d<\/a> They\u2019ve also dropped a few covers, like a version of No Doubt\u2019s \u201cJust a Girl\u201d for the Yellowjackets soundtrack, and a rendition of\u00a0the British WWII song \u201cWhite Cliffs of Dover\u201d<\/a> for the AppleTV+ series, The New Look. Earlier this year, Florence and the Machine linked up with Everything Is Recorded and Sampha for a new collaborative single, \u201cNever Felt Better.\u201d<\/p>\n \t
