OVIEDO, Fla. \u2013 A \u201chigh-pressure event\u201d at Oviedo\u2019s West Mitchell Hammock Water Treatment Facility on Tuesday sprang several small leaks across the city, according to a statement.<\/p>\n

The event occurred around 5:15 p.m. and has so far caused several small service leaks at individual residences, the city said on social media<\/a>. <\/p>\n

A water main break occurred on East High Street, impacting around 25 homes, the post states. As the main is repaired, those homes will be under a boil water advisory until further notice, the city said.<\/p>\n

Oviedo Water Utility Staff continues to survey the system for further leaks and evaluate the West Mitchell Hammock Water Treatment Facility which is currently operating under normal conditions.<\/p>\n

Oviedo residents who see any anomalies in or around water service lines, water meters, or with their household plumbing are asked to contact the Oviedo Water Utility Department at 407-971-5681 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or at 407-256-5026 after hours.<\/p>\n
