\n\tThe creator of Apple\u2019s Hijack is back with a new thriller starring Dominic West<\/a> and Sienna Miller<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tGeorge Kay<\/a> has penned War, a legal series for HBO<\/a> and Sky<\/a>, which have handed the show a two-season order.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Crown\u2019s West\u00a0plays tech titan Morgan Henderson and Anatomy of a Scandal\u2019s Miller\u00a0stars as his estranged wife, international film star Carla Duval in the series, which is set in the elite world of London law and kicks off with a \u201cscandalous divorce case that sends shockwaves through boardrooms, bedrooms, and courtrooms alike\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is the latest co-production between the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned cable network and the Comcast-owned British pay-TV broadcaster following series such as Chernobyl, The Young Pope, The Baby and Landscapers.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt reunites West and Miller, who previously starred together in a British stage adaptation of As You Like It in 2005 and have also appeared together in Burberry campaigns.<\/p>\n

\n\tWar follows two of London\u2019s most prestigious rival firms \u2013 Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne \u2013 as they go head-to-head in the divorce case of the century. Each side is certain they\u2019ll win. But as the case spirals and loyalties fracture, reputations are on the line, and everyone\u2019s playing to win.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is an anthology series with a new case each season.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeason one also stars Phoebe Fox, James McArdle, Nina Sosanya, Pip Torrens\u00a0and\u00a0Archie Renaux. <\/p>\n

\n\tKay is the man behind the Idris Elba-fronted plane thriller Hijack for Apple as well as Netflix\u2019s French series Lupin and Criminal. He will serve as showrunner with Ben Taylor (Catastrophe) as director. The series is produced by British producer New Pictures, which was behind 2019 HBO\/Sky co-pro Catherine The Great, and Kay\u2019s Observatory Pictures.<\/p>\n

\n\tExec producers include Kay, Taylor, Willow Grylls, Matt Sandford, Susan Breen, Andrea Dewsbury and Megan Spanjian.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt will air on HBO and HBO Max in the U.S. and stream on HBO Max in Australia, while Sky will air it in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution has international sales rights.<\/p>\n
