A woman has been left fighting for life after being stabbed multiple times at a Westfield.
Emergency services were called to Coomera Westfield Shopping Centre on Foxwell Road, on the Gold Coast, at about 1.25am on Wednesday.
Queensland Police said they had received reports that a 32-year-old woman had been stabbed ‘multiple times’, including to her face, neck and spine.
It is understood that she was an Uber driver who had driven a man to the shopping centre before they allegedly had an altercation, 7News reported.
She was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.
A crime scene has been established and forensic detectives have reportedly been combing her car for details.
There is not believed to have been any link between the man and woman, initial information has suggested.Â
Investigations into the circumstances leading up to the incident, including looking at the passenger’s account on Uber, remain ongoing.
Police have pleaded for any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
Anyone with information has been told to contact Policelink on 131 444.Â
