Married At First Sight’s Carina Mirabile prepares for WAG status as she reveals new romance with NFL star – as her hookup with Quavo takes a twist

Married At First Sight’s Carina Mirabile has well and truly moved on from her ex-husband Paul Antoine. 

Fresh from a seven-week sabbatical in America, the 31-year-old has returned to Australia with the glow of a newly loved-up woman. 

‘I went on a date in New York with an NFL athlete. I had a nice experience – he made me feel very special and stuff,’ she told Daily Mail Australia this week. 

‘He’s very handsome, wants the same things as me – he’s probably ready to settle down because he’s had a long career in the NFL,’ she divulged. 

While Carina has chosen not to share his identity yet, the reality star did reveal that she’s actually known the man for years. 

‘When we met, he had a celebrity girlfriend, and they broke up a few years ago. We actually met on Instagram and we just stayed in touch,’ she enthused.

‘And before I went to America, we connected on [celebrity dating app] Raya. And then we were talking then and were like, ‘Yeah, let’s catch up when I get to New York!” 

Carina said she is absolutely ready for a WAG lifestyle – but insisted his profession isn’t the only reason she finds him attractive. 

Elsewhere, Carina explained why dating an American man is so different to an Australian. 

‘American men… they’re not shy. They’re very assertive, they’re direct, and they don’t beat around the bush in terms of, like, if they want to get to know you, they will,’ Carina, who regularly holidays in America, explained.

‘Australian men are just so scared to come up and have a conversation with you. Like, they don’t approach women here, for some reason. I just feel like they’re timid,’ she continued. 

Carina’s USA adventure also led her to a surprise interaction with Quavo’s management team, following revelations that she slept with the rapper years before going on MAFS. 

Her fling with Quavo was a major storyline on MAFS – Carina’s husband Paul punched a wall in anger when he learned of it. 

His name wasn’t revealed on the show, but Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed the rapper to be Quavo.

‘[Quavo’s] team reached out to me while I was away,’ she said.

Carina revealed that a man in Quavo’s entourage then scolded her for talking about her hookup with Quavo on her podcast, This Is Chaos. 

‘[The man] was like, “That’s not right to speak about your, like, sex life with someone like that. Imagine if a guy said that… went public on a podcast episode?”‘ 

‘And I was like, “I’m a small fish compared to Quavo! He won’t listen to my podcast”, and he goes: “You’ll be surprised!”‘
