Tim Robards has revealed his shock new look after shaving his facial hair for the first time in 20 years.
The Bachelor star showed off his clean-shaven face in a new campaign with Philips, to promote their i9000 Prestige Ultra electric shaver.
Tim, 42, told Daily Mail he was inspired to collaborate with the brand after trying out the shaver for a new movie role he landed which required him to shave his face.
‘I’ve been known to have a beard for most of my adult life. I haven’t shaved for the past 20 years. So it came at a good time when I needed to shave for a movie role,’ he said.
‘It was the first time I had used a razor since I was young. Under your neck you always end up with a rash and I wanted to make sure it’s actually good and it works.
‘It cuts the hair to 0.8mm below the skin’s surface but without irritating the skin. The way they’ve designed it, the blades, the technology it’s got AIÂ technology. It even has colour-guided lights that guide you through how to shave properly.’

He revealed his daughters, Elle, four, and Ruby, one, barely recognised him after he shaved his face.
‘My four-year-old told me I looked funny and my one-year-old didn’t recognise me,’ he admitted.
‘[My wife] Anna is so used to seeing me with a bit of facial hair, it’s like she has a new husband.’
Tim is also passionate about his health and fitness and revealed the importance of prioritising exercise.
‘You have to find a reason to make it your priority. For some people they get to a point of pain and discomfort which scares them into making health a priority. You would rather not wait until that point,’ he explained.
‘Being healthy and fit actually enables me to do the things I love and do them better and gradually health works its way up to your value list and therefore your priority list. I make time for it every day.
‘It’s a mixture of habit and just keeping it a priority. It’s not an immediate reward so you just have to keep sight of the bigger picture. Set some goals, set some guidelines and some time aside for yourself.’
He also gave an insight into his daily food intake and said he incorporates protein, veggies and healthy fats into his meals.

‘I don’t measure calories. I generally try to have protein about the size and thickness of my palm and salad or veggies the size of my two hands. And three fingers’ worth of some healthy fats,’ Tim explained.
‘I like to have little treats. But if I’m on set for 12 hours and have only worked out for half an hour, I haven’t earned it. I need to earn it. It’s all about balance.’
Tim is also adjusting to his new life on the Gold Coast after relocating with his wife Anna and their two daughters.Â
‘It’s been good but I feel like we’ve been back and forth almost pretty much every week so we haven’t quite settled. It’s been kind of hectic,’ he said.
