Titus Day, the former manager of Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, has listed his Bondi trophy home following his years-long legal battle over allegations he embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from the singer.

Day and his wife Courtney quietly listed their sprawling Ocean Street home in Sydney’s east, days after the Director of Public Prosecutions dropped all remaining charges against the entertainment manager, ending his five-year legal fight.

Although Day, 52, has lived at the colonial estate since 2018, when it sold for a cool $4.2million, records show he is not listed as the owner.

Land titles indicate the seven-bedroom property is held 30 per cent by his wife, Courtney, and 70 per cent by his father, architect Michael Bill Day, as tenants in common.

Day Senior purchased the mansion with his sons Titus and Anatole. At the time, he described the purchase as a family decision.

‘Two of my sons had been talking about leaving Sydney because of the high property prices and cost of living,’ Day senior told realestate.com.au at the time.

‘But I’m going to sell my two properties and they can sell theirs and we’ll pull our resources together and create one big family home.’

The landmark property known as Barroda has been listed for sale with price expectations above $10 million.

It includes five bedrooms, marble fireplaces a self-contained and a two-storey guesthouse is located at the rear of the property.

Other features include a swimming pool, home gym, wine cellar, bar and off-street parking for several vehicles.

It’s understood the property is being sold to pay legal costs for two expensive and unsuccessful embezzlement trials.

Day was twice hauled before a jury over allegations that he embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from his former long-time client.

He was arrested in 2020 and would later be jailed for a maximum of four years, with a two-and-a-half-year non-parole period, after a jury found him guilty of 34 counts of embezzlement by a clerk or servant, relating to $624,675 of Sebastian’s royalties and performance fees between 2013 and 2020.

The Australian Idol winner first signed with Day at talent agency 22 Management in 2007 before following him to his new venture, 6 Degrees, in 2009, where he became the company’s star client.

But the pair’s decade-long partnership came to an acrimonious end in 2017 after Sebastian alleged he’d siphoned off hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees, including payments from the singer’s role as a supporting act on Taylor Swift’s 2013 Red Tour.

Day’s wife, a former Sony Music executive, raised the couple’s three children at the Bondi property during her husband’s incarceration.

Since his arrest at his Sydney eastern suburbs home in 2020, he always maintained his innocence.
