Snoop Dogg has snubbed the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) just moments ahead of his pre-game show on the field at 1.45pm.
The US rapper, 53, has eschewed tradition and decided to hole up in a campervan outside the venue instead of being housed in the green room.Â
He won’t be accepting any hospitality from the MCG staff as musicians have often done in the past, instead choosing to set up his own motorhome.Â
‘No MCG green room for Snoop Dogg. The rapper has set up a motorhome out on Brunton Avenue alongside the MCG,’ sports reporter Sam Edmund wrote on X.Â
‘Snoop will stay holed up in the van until given the green light to (crip) walk into the arena.’Â
Snoop is said to be staying in his van until he is given the green light to take to the stage inside the arena, reported SEN.

It seems Snoop may be recovering from the set he performed at Ms Collins nightclub on Friday night.
The hitmaker took over Melbourne CBD’s hottest nightclub well into the early hours of Saturday morning in a final blowout before his AFL Grand Final pre-game show.Â
He began an hour-long set at 12.45am at the Collins St club, performing some of his most famous songs to a sold-out crowd.Â
Snoop reportedly performed The Next Episode, Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang, Drop It Like It’s Hot, Young, Wild & Free and I Wanna F–k You.
He is also said to have mixed in tracks like Rihanna’s We Found Love, Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics, Don’t Stop Believing by Journey and Stand By Me by Ben E King.
‘Thank god for letting me be me. Peace, love and motherf***ing soul,’ he told the screaming crowd.
Snoop followed up the set by retiring upstairs to a VIP area with his entourage before leaving the club at around 3am.
It comes after Snoop was spotted rehearsing for his big show alongside Jessica Mauboy and Tash Sultana at the MCG on Thursday.

Giving onlookers a sneak peek at Saturday’s extravaganza, the trio were spotted storming the stage with scores of brightly dressed backup dancers and musicians.
It was a reunion for Snoop Dogg and Jessica, who famously collaborated on the 2010 song Get ’em Girls.
The duo were seen smiling at each other as they belted into the microphones, before leaning in for a friendly hug.
Meanwhile, Tash was spotted nearby, beaming as they strummed on a guitar.
Snoop Dogg was dressed to impress in a purple tracksuit paired with a black and yellow bomber jacket.
The rap icon completed his look with sunglasses and purple sneakers.
Jessica, who welcomed her first child in January, was every inch the yummy mummy in a maroon studded jumpsuit and matching coat.
Tash looked trendy in a powder blue shirt, matching trousers and a baseball cap.
Snoop Dogg will headline the Grand Final entertainment at the 100,000-capacity MCG, as Brisbane look to defend their crown against Geelong on Saturday afternoon.
