The 51-year-old actress, pictured in July, went viral earlier this month over an incident at LAX, when she snapped at a Make-a-Wish mother called Jada BafusÂ
‘Hope you all had the opportunity to slow down and embrace the big and little magical moments of the Holidays,’ the two-time Oscar winner wrote in the caption accompanying the snap.Â
‘Wishing you a joyful, healthy and abundant 2026 from my family to yours.’
Viewers flocked to the comments to share their well wishes, including Swank’s longtime close friend Mariska Hargitay, who gushed: ‘My loves.’
The post comes a couple of weeks after Swank went viral over an incident at LAX when she snapped at a mother who was taking her own two terminally ill children on a Make-a-Wish trip to Disneyland.
Jada Bafus had traveled to Southerm California from Spokane, Washington, with her husband and her  sons Mason, seven, and Jack, four.
Both boys suffer from the incurable terminal illness Duchenne muscular dystrophy, which weakens the heart muscles and bones.
After arriving in LA, Bafus found herself at baggage claim next to the Million Dollar Baby star but words were exchanged after she  pulled out her phone to call her husband in order to keep track of him and their children.
However, Swank mistook the move as an attempt to take her picture and said, according to Bafus: ‘You get what you needed? Get you what came for?’Â
Bafus wrote about the encounter in an Instagram post that was re-shared millions of times and Swank ultimately apologized to her privately on the social media platform, explaining that she was worried about her own twins getting their picture taken.
Jada and Bryan Bafus, as well as their terminally ill sons Mason, seven, and Jack, four, were en route to a Make-a-Wish trip to Disneyland when the encounter occurred
Swank has won two Academy Awards for Best Actress, for her roles in Boys Don’t Cry (1999) and Million Dollar Baby (2004); Seen with her Oscar in 2005
Bafus told the Daily Mail: ‘I think I just took my phone out the wrong time. She just thought I was taking a picture of her. She was having a bad day.’
‘It just hurt my feelings because I was starting my son’s Make-A-Wish trip, which she wouldn’t have known, but just one of those situations where it was one of my first encounters with a celebrity so I thought it was a little comical.’
Bafus noted: ‘We just don’t know what others are going through and I was just a stressed mom trying to navigate LAX.’
Bafus shared Swank’s apology messages with the Daily Mail but asked that they not be reproduced.
