Dove Cameron and Damiano David are officially engaged after two years of dating.

After two years of dating, the Måneskin frontman announced their engagement with a sweet Instagram post on January 3. “It’s gonna be a beautiful year,” he wrote alongside the photo carousel, featuring a close-up look at their tattooed hands and Dove’s stunning sparkler.

Damiano collaborated on the custom design with Alessandro Benini from Bernini High Jewelry, who shared more details about each of their rings. In several Instagram posts showing off the jewelry, Alessandro revealed that they were “created to celebrate the union of two souls and the timeless bond of love.”

As for the specific details of each design—ya know, in case you want to drop some hints to your partner—Dove’s diamond ring has an Asscher-cut center stone with a full halo, a split-shank pavé, and a rose gold band. According to Elle, jewelers estimate that Dove’s diamond is between 2 to 4 carats. David also got a complementary engagement ring with a matching center stone and a wide cigar-style band.

Angie Kennedy, vice president of merchandising at Zales, told Elle that the cost of Dove’s ring may fall in the six-figure range, depending on its exact sizing. “There’s going to be a huge range depending on if it’s closer to 3 or to 4 carats and the quality of the diamond, measured by the cut quality, color, and clarity,” she shared. “I’d guess [it’s] somewhere between $75,000 and $125,000.”

Deep Dive on Dove and Damiano

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Dove got candid about Damiano’s proposal. She admitted that he’d tell her when he designed the ring with the jeweler and when it was ready—but she had no idea when he’d pop the question.

“We were packing, and I’m the worst version of myself when I’m packing—I’ve never learned how to pack well—so clothing is everywhere. I’m in a big t-shirt, no makeup, hair still, like, kind of wet from the shower, and I’m running around like a little creature in our house,” she said of the moments leading up to his proposal, before she freaked out in a separate room.

The “Boyfriend” singer explained that Damiano chose a quiet engagement in their home for the most wholesome reason. “I wanted to do this here in our home, because I want dishes, I want laundry, I want making food together, I want you in your big t-shirt. This is the life that I choose, and I hope you choose the same,” she recalled of the milestone moment.
