Today in “wild things happening while Jennifer Lopez minds her own business on stage,” a giant cricket was spotted crawling up the singer’s neck during her show in Kazakhstan. Like, I’ve never seen a bug more obsessed with hogging the spotlight.
So, how did J.Lo handle having a massive insect on her mid-show? Flawlessly, as you would expect. Upon feeling something crawling on her neck, she simply grabbed the bug and threw it to the side of the stage without missing a beat—briefly noting “it was tickling me” before continuing her performance.
In case you missed it: J.Lo had a pretty major wardrobe malfunction on stage earlier in the Up All Night tour (right in the middle of performing her new song “Birthday”) and also handled it like a pro.
The singer was wearing a gold triangle bikini top with a matching fringe skirt, which fell off mid-way through her performance. “I’m out here in my underwear,” J.Lo said after she noticed her skirt had fallen. She then referenced everyone in the audience filming her by joking, “That’s gonna be everywhere. I’m glad that they reinforced that costume. And I’m glad I had underwear on. I don’t usually wear underwear.”
J.Lo ended up throwing the skirt to her fans, telling the person who caught it, “Yes! You can keep it. You can have it. I don’t want it back.”
