Cameron set off on nine-day trek in NSW Snowy MountainsFailed to return on Saturday
A desperate search is underway for an experienced hiker feared missing in the NSW Snowy Mountains.
Cameron Little, 57, began a nine-day skiing and hiking trek from Guthega Power Station located in the Snowy Mountains-Kosciuszko National Park on September 4.
He made contact with family and friend two days later but hasn’t been heard from or seen since.
He was due back on Saturday but failed to return.
A land and air search was launched involving local police, PolAir, Rural Fire Service, SES, and National Parks and Wildlife Service.
Mr Little’s blue Mitsubishi station wagon was located unattended at Guthega Power Station during the search.
There are grave concerns for his welfare as Mr Little is an experienced hiker and skier.
His failure to return is out of character.
Mr Little is described Caucasian, 175cm tall, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, and has an unshaven grey beard.
