Colin Fassnidge has been spotted for the first time since he was charged with driving under the influence of cocaine.

The My Kitchen Rules judge, 52, was stopped for drug and alcohol testing at around 3.20pm on November 8 while driving a grey ute along Malabar Road in South Maroubra.

Police from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command conducted a test on Fassnidge which allegedly returned a positive result for cocaine, reported The Daily Telegraph.

On Monday, Fassnidge kept a low profile in a cap and sunglasses as he stepped out for a walk in Sydney with his wife, Jane Hyland.

The Irish chef was dressed casually for the outing in a black T-shirt, shorts and a pair of white sneakers.

At one point, Fassnidge appeared deep in conversation as he chatted on the phone.

Fassnidge was charged with driving under the influence of cocaine after he was pulled over for a random drug test in Sydney last month.

A secondary test also allegedly returned positive, with the Irish celebrity chef then being charged with driving a vehicle while an illicit drug was present in his blood.

Fassnidge will face Waverley Court on January 28.

Daily Mail has reached out to Fassnidge’s representatives for further comment.

It comes after Fassnidge opened up about the difficulties of juggling a professional career and his home life, during an interview with Sunday Style in 2016.

The father-of-two, who has been married to Jane since 2006, explained it is very difficult to live with a chef because they ‘burn out’ quickly.

‘It’s a hard life, it’s the highest divorce, drugs, drink, suicide industry,’ he said.

‘Living with a chef is very hard, it’s not good. We are the worst people in the world.’

Despite admitting life isn’t all as it seems, Colin revealed he and his wife have made a promise to one another that the drama in the kitchen remains there.

‘The rule we had was you can go crazy at work but you don’t take it home… it doesn’t always happen like that,’ he said.

Fassnidge and Hyland met in 2000 when the chef was working at Sydney’s famous EST restaurant, where his now-wife was an assistant manager.

The pair went on to tie the knot on 8 January, 2006, in the city where they met, overlooking Watson’s Bay.

Fassnidge and Hyland went on to welcome two daughters into the world—Lily, 16, and Maeve, 14.

Fassnidge is best known for his TV appearances, currently sitting as a judge on My Kitchen Rules since 2013.

He is also a presenter on the home lifestyle program Better Homes and Gardens alongside Clarissa Feildel.

The chef previously hosted Kitchen Nightmares Australia in 2022.
