Meghan Markle has shared further glimpses of her home life as she unveiled season two of her Netflix cooking and lifestyle show today.

‘With Love, Meghan’ landed on Netflix at 8am after the Duchess of Sussex teased the trailer two weeks ago on her Instagram page.

Guests on season two will include Chrissy Teigan and Jamie Kern Lima and the former senior royal is seen eating cheese, prepping snacks and drinks with friends and even reveals the food her husband Prince Harry doesn’t like.

This comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a new ‘multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects’ with Netflix – a downgrade on their previous contract.

The new arrangement is a first-look deal, meaning Netflix can say yes or no to new film or TV projects before anyone else.

‘More tone-deafness’: Telegraph editor criticises new season of Meghan’s cooking show

A Telegraph editor has criticised season two of Meghan Markle’s Netflix cooking show.

Anita Singh, Arts and Entertainment Editor of the Telegraph, wrote: ‘Anyone for a turmeric marshmallow? Time to stock the fridge with sea urchins? How about relaxing by binding your own books or making a pressed flower pendant for your dog? Yes, the Duchess of Sussex, hostess with the mostest, is back with a second highly relatable series of With Love, Meghan. It’s more of the same.’

She also noted that Prince Harry is ‘nowhere to be seen’ in the latest season of With Love, Meghan.

She wrote: ‘The man himself is nowhere to be seen, which looks increasingly weird in a show based on the couple’s Californian home life.’

Singh rated the show two stars out of five, with the headline reading: ‘More tone-deafness from the Montecito Marie Antoinette’

Meghan Markle has revealed the foods that Prince Harry dislikes in the second series of her new Netflix show.

While making apple pie, Meghan is seen sprinkling an array of spices in a bowl to make the hearty, warming autumnal dish.

She said: ‘Let’s have some fun with the cinnamon,’ to which a Netflix producer responded: ‘Everyone loves cinnamon.’

However, the Duchess giggled to the camera: ‘My husband doesn’t,’ before adding in apple cider vinegar.

In the trailer for the show, which was released two weeks ago, Meghan also said that Prince Harry also dislikes eating lobster.

She made a passing comment to chef Jose Andres that Harry doesn’t eat the shellfish.

‘And you married him?’ joked Andres, to which Meghan threw her head back and laughed.

Meghan Markle said that she ‘doesn’t like baking’ on the second season of her show With Love, Meghan.

During the eight-part series, which launched on Netflix, the Duchess of Sussex is seen baking several times.

She prepares sourdough for her friend Chrissy Teigan and is seen making homemade McDonald’s apple pies with Tan France.

But she admits to chef Christina Tosi as they make graham crackers for S’mores: ‘Usually, I don’t like baking because it’s so measured.’

Meghan’s As Ever range launched in March, however, includes ready-made shortbread cookies and crepe mixes with pre-measured amounts.

The Duchess adds later: ‘I love the idea of being able to rethink baking to be just a little more spontaneous.’

Meghan Markle appeared nostalgic as she spoke about her wedding to Prince Harry in the second season of With Love, Meghan.

Clare Smyth, the Northern Irish-born three Michelin starred chef who cooked the Duke and Duchess’ wedding, was a guest on the show.

Meghan spoke about the braised lamb meal Smyth whipped up for them during their 2018 nuptials.

She said: ‘Remember we had the map where everything was sourced? We really wanted people to appreciate where every ingredient was coming from. I mean that was the most delicious meal. Everyone still talks about it.’

Smyth also created a special recipe for fried chicken for the after-party.

She told Meghan: ‘We still do it for only an off-menu item.’

‘Oh my gosh. I love that we have created something off menu,’ Meghan tells her.

The Duchess of Sussex opened up about her time on Deal or No Deal on the second season of With Love, Meghan.

Before her breakout role on Suits, Meghan briefly appeared on Deal or No Deal alongside Chrissy Teigan in 2006.

‘I was thinking about how many moons ago we crossed paths and that was past life, that was good old Deal or No Deal,’ the Duchess of Sussex told Chrissy as they made pressed flower jewellery in her ‘Craft Barn’.

They exchanged memories from their time on the show, as Meghan said: ‘I remember us all having to stand in line to get our lashes put in.’

Chrissy then jumped in to add how all the models had to deposit their lashes ‘in a Ziploc bag’ after the shoot was over.

Meghan said she just ‘so happy to have health insurance’ after landing the gig.

Chrissy, the wife of singer John Legend, recalled being a ‘backup girl’ on the show while Meghan routinely appeared as a briefcase model – before the Duchess recalled how Chrissy ‘got famous’ shortly after.

‘I mean, I left the show, and then like a year or so later, you got famous,’ she told Chrissy. ‘I was like, “Oh my god, she’s on the cover of Sports Illustrated, she was just sitting back there on the little chair, waiting…”‘.

The mother-of-four replied: ‘Not competitive at all, literally was fascinated by all of you and just so happy to be in the world of Hollywood.’

According to Meghan, she cooks breakfast for both children most days, fried eggs and pancakes.

‘But I like to do surprise pancakes for the kids,’ she revealed during one episode.

‘So I always put some ground flax seeds or some chia seeds in and Lili will ask, “can I have my chia seeds? I want to have freckles”.’

She said: ‘I’d receive my allowance and I’d go to Kmart and buy a real diaper bag. I’d want a real diaper bag to take care of my doll. I always wanted to be mom. I love it. It’s better even than I expected.

‘The longest I went without being around our kids was almost three weeks. I was not well.’

She says that her son Archie, who is sixth in line to the throne, is a gentle boy. ‘He’s like the most tender, sweet child of all time,’ she says.

Meghan Markle appeared nostalgic as she revealed what she misses about living in the UK.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the UK and their roles as senior royals in 2020 for a new life in sunny Montecito.

The former actress has not set foot in the UK since September 2022, when the couple were on a charity visit and the Queen died.

She told Tan France, who was born in Doncaster: ‘One of the things I miss most about the UK is the radio stations.’ Magic FM was her favourite of them.

Teased that it is a ‘grandma’ station, she says that her new favourite station to listen to in the car is called ‘Mom Jeans’ and plays vintage soft rock.

Meghan Markle reveals who said ‘I love you’ first

Eagerly recalling their love story on the new season, Meghan revealed that it was indeed Harry who uttered the three special words – ‘I love you’ – first, shortly after they began dating in 2016.

As for Meghan herself, she confessed she knew Harry was a keeper on just their third date – a week-long safari trip to Botswana.

In the third episode, Queer Eye presenter Tan France asked her if there was a specific moment she knew the relationship was ‘the real thing’.

Meghan said: ‘Yes, that was on our third date. We met in Botswana and we camped for five days together. You really get to know each other when you’re in a little tent together and it’s like – what is that outside the tent?’

‘That’s an elephant. Are we going to be safe? Yeah, you’re safe. OK.’

France then asked who said the ‘L word’ first – and the Duchess once more reminisced about their early days together.

‘He told me,’ Meghan confessed. And when France noted, ‘You’re starting to blush,’ Meghan joked: ‘She’s still got it.’
