EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders’ Lacey Turner has promised fans a week of “old-school” episodes as her character Stacey Slater exits the soap. Next week will see Stacey heading off to Brazil for a fresh start, after being invited to live with her brother Sean.
“It’s the break that Stacey needs,” explained Turner. “She’s been through so much and losing Martin has been so hard for her. Walking past his stall everyday is too much. Brazil seems far, but I guess that’s what she needs.”

“Seeing Max again gives Stacey the shock of her life. She never expected to see him back in Walford, and she knows full well that whenever he’s around, there’s trouble!” said Turner.
“Max has always had this hold over Stacey that she has no control over. I don’t know what it is about those two, but they’re always drawn together.”

Despite her second thoughts, Stacey ultimately decides to catch her flight – but not before telling Max she wants nothing to do with him.
Later, Stacey reels as she sees Max kissing her cousin Zoe, unaware that the pair had hooked up earlier this year. With the Slaters known for their fiery confrontations, could another showdown be on the horizon?
“I love Zoe and Stacey together. When they were younger, all they did was argue and wind each other up, and that hasn’t changed!” teased Turner, confirming: “The week is typical old-school EastEnders, full of Slater drama.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
