EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (18 November), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders has confirmed the surprising aftermath of Vicki Fowler’s shocking attack on Chelsea Fox’s date Damon. Zack Hudson comes to her rescue as she panics about her actions, but will he be able to save the day?

This week, Vicki was left reeling when she found out that Joel was planning to plead not guilty to her attack. Zack encouraged her to go to the quiz at The Vic, but she was disturbed by the behaviour of Damon, who she found out was married.

After Vicki caused a scene in the pub, she had an altercation with Damon in the laundrette. When Damon started verbally abusing her, she lashed out and pushed him.

Damon hit his head on the bench, and when Zack arrived to check on Vicki in today’s episode, he found him lying unresponsive.

Distressed Vicki explained what had happened, as Zack confirmed that Damon was at least still breathing. Zack stepped in to help, as Damon began to regain consciousness.

Zack acted quickly and gained access to Damon’s phone. When Damon came round, Zack stopped him going to the police by revealing that he’d taken screenshots that expose his affairs.

This was enough to discourage Damon from taking things any further, and Vicki was grateful to Zack for saving her skin.

Back at the house, Vicki opened up to Zack about what she is going through and explained how she can’t stop noticing misogynistic behaviour since Joel’s attack.

As she broke down in tears about the hold Joel has over her, Zack comforted her, and the pair grew closer over a bottle of wine.

One thing led to another, and Vicki and Zack kissed – but they were caught by Kathy when she walked into the house at that moment.

Vicki and Zack apologised and made it clear that their kiss was just a moment of madness, and while Kathy admitted it was none of her business, she wasn’t impressed by their actions.

As Kathy agreed not to say anything to absent Sharon, Ross showed up and told Vicki that he was going to do everything he can to get Joel to change his plea.

Will Ross ever find out about Vicki and Zack’s kiss?

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
