Kim Kardashian‘s reaction to realizing she failed the bar exam has been revealed on this week’s season finale of The Kardashians.

The 45-year-old has spent the past seven years studying to become an attorney, following in the footsteps of her late father, O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian.

As a legal activist, she has has secured the release of a string of convicts, starting with Alice Marie Johnson, who was convicted on eight criminal counts in 1996 for her work with a cocaine trafficking ring in Memphis.

She also visited the first Trump White House to plug the FIRST STEP Act, a prison reform law that resulted in the early release of tens of thousands of criminals.

Kim passed California‘s practice ‘baby bar’ exam on her fourth try in December 2021, but last month her first attempt at the real test ended in disappointment.

Now her reality show has shown Kim fighting back tears as her hopes were dashed, while her family rallied around her to provide her with some comfort.

In order to juggle her legal aspirations with her showbiz career, Kim forewent going to a traditional law school and instead opted for a four-year apprenticeship called the California law office study program.

Her mentor was human rights attorney Jessica Jackson, who along with Van Jones and former San Francisco Supervisor Matt Haney co-founded a nonprofit called Cut50 dedicated to halving the U.S. prison population.

Kim failed the ‘baby bar’ three times but passed on the fourth attempt in 2021, and the following year her then-boyfriend Pete Davidson acquired a tattoo reading: ‘my girl is a lawyer,’ which he eventually had removed after their breakup.

Last month she announced she had failed the real bar exam, though she insisted: ‘Falling short isn’t failure – it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!!!’

Now, on the latest episode of The Kardashians, she can be seen struggling to contain her emotions when she learns of her setback.

Kim was surrounded by her son Saint West, 10, her sister Khloe Kardashian, 41, and her mother Kris Jenner, 70, as she received the news.

When the appointed hour rolled around at 5pm, she refreshed her screen to be confronted with precisely the result she had feared.

‘That’s okay, I figured that,’ said Kim tearfully, her voice cracking with emotion as her son gave her a hug and her mother cooed: ‘No….’

The show, incidentally, stars Kim as a partner of an all-female law firm amid a cast that includes Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Glenn Close and Sarah Paulson.

When Kim conducted a postmortem video conference with her professor Chris, Khloe joined in and offered her appraisal of how best to prepare for her next try.

‘Why don’t we also plan that maybe she doesn’t shoot a TV – not one, but two at the same time – where you’re memorizing lines and memorizing laws,’ she said tartly.

She also brought up a back problem Kim had recently suffered, while giving a rundown of the ‘amount of s*** that went wrong during this time.’

All’s Fair had debuted that week, with Kim’s performance coming in for savage mockery from critics and social media alike.

Kim deadpanned that the show was ‘critically acclaimed,’ laughing bleakly as she said: ‘I’m a big f***ing loser this week.’

However Khloe was determined to keep her spirits up, insisting: ‘Kim! The ratings are the highest it’s ever been! The people that are being d***s are critics that hate us!’

‘I’m not a lawyer and I play a s***y one on TV,’ said Kim. ‘It was either gonna be like the greatest week of my life or the loser-est s***tiest week of my life.’
