Emmerdale spoilers follow for Monday’s episode (12 January), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.

The Emmerdale police are keeping busy in tonight’s episode, with two major investigations impacting some of the show’s biggest characters. At Caleb Miligan’s depot, the shock discovery of a body leaves everyone in turmoil – and suspicions begin to spread.

Over at Butler’s Farm, Moira Dingle, Robert Sugden and Victoria Sugden all face questioning over Celia Daniels’ human trafficking operation – and how much they all knew about it. Could someone else go down for Celia’s crimes?

Here’s our guide to 7 spoilers from Monday’s episode.

1. Ray’s body is foundray, emmerdale

ITV

Police arrive at the depot and take immediate control, shocking Caleb and Jai by insisting that the drivers need to stand down until further notice. Caleb is frustrated that the police are investigating the business’s drug scandal again, even though no evidence was found last time they turned up.

The police visit soon takes an unexpected turn. When they look inside one of the vans, they find Ray’s body hidden. A murder investigation is launched and Jai is sure to be implicated after he was seen driving the vehicle around in Corriedale recently.

2. Robert and Victoria are quizzedvictoria sugden, robert sugden, emmerdale

ITV

In a hectic day for the local police force, they also arrive at Butler’s Farm to investigate the human trafficking operation that took place nearby on Celia’s land.

First up, Robert and Victoria face a difficult grilling. The line of questioning reveals that Moira is under suspicion, with various pieces of evidence brought up which hint at potential wrongdoing: Moira’s public row with Celia, the dodgy invoices, and recent financial problems at Butler’s which were sparked by the slurry leak.

Robert desperately tries to paint Moira in a positive light on all counts. He also hopes that the police won’t go searching around the house, since Joe has forced him to plant incriminating documents there. These could be a ticking timebomb…

3. Jai reveals a missing key mysteryjai sharma, emmerdale

ITV

Jai faces an informal round of questioning with DS Walsh at the depot. He gives a rough timeline of his movements in the van, promising that CCTV footage will back up his story.

There are still plenty of unanswered questions, though, as Jai casually mentions that one of the keys to the van in question went missing recently. Sounds like anyone could have got their hands on the key and taken the opportunity to hide Ray’s body…

The depot is declared a crime scene until further notice. Jai is bewildered as he seems to already be the prime suspect in Ray’s murder investigation.
