Emmerdale spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on ITV1 and stream on ITVX and YouTube.
Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale has teased Laurel Thomas might have quite a lot to do with Ray Walters’ mysterious death ahead of next week’s reveal. Ray was recently found dead, shortly after his love interest Laurel learned of his involvement in the drug-dealing and human-trafficking operation. And she’s one of the main suspects.
Next week is dedicated to showing flashbacks of what various characters were up to on the day of his death, but for right now, the soap is making Laurel look very suspicious.
Tonight’s instalment opened with Laurel in church, saying: “I’ve done something which I can’t take back, and it’s eating me up. Please, help me wash away my guilt and show me the path to forgiveness. Please.”
Outside, she shared some tense words with Marlon Dingle, accusing him of putting her family in danger as she’s a single mum living alone with two kids who had no idea about how dangerous Ray was.

“I don’t want to talk about that man ever again,” she said. “I mean, what I’ve been pushed to, to get Ray out my life.”
The question is, what exactly what Laurel “pushed” to do that she “can’t take back” and is being eaten up by?
Meanwhile, the police questioned Dylan Penders about any information about Ray and Celia Daniels’ plans to relocate, as they were still unsure about Bear Wolf’s whereabouts.

Details have already been revealed about some of what Laurel gets up to in next week’s flashback episodes, with Nicola King encouraging her to do something incredibly risky.
Of course, the major details and the reveal of Ray’s killer will be something we’ll need to wait until next week for.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
