Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey makes a confession to her sister Shona next week, prompting Shona to suggest that Jodie should flee Weatherfield.
The drama plays out following the reappearance of Olivia, one of the children Jodie previously looked after as a nanny.
When Olivia turns up at No.6, Jodie tensely informs Shona about her connection to the teenager. So Shona invites their guest to stay for tea.

Later, Jodie finds Olivia rifling through her bag. Olivia admits she knows Jodie stole her dad’s hard drive and plans to take it back…
“Olivia wants to impress her dad and thinks the way to do it is to steal back the missing hard drive,” explains our Corrie source. “Jodie is a master manipulator, but she could have met her match in young Olivia.”
Hoping to gain her sister’s sympathy, Jodie leads Shona to believe that Olivia’s dad is her abusive ex-boyfriend. She confesses to stealing the hard drive from him, and makes out that he now wants her dead.
Frightened for her sister’s life, Shona encourages her to run away.

“Shona smartly points out that Olivia knows where Jodie lives and could summon her dad at any time,” explains our spy. “She advises that Jodie should leave Weatherfield immediately, not just for her own safety but for that of the entire Platt family.”
Will Jodie regret her choice of cover story if it means having to move away? We know that her claims about an abusive relationship may not be true, as she previously went to a support group and passed off some of the survivors’ experiences as her own.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the only drama that Jodie faces next week. When a flyer comes through the door advertising a haulage company called Haul North, she’s visibly horrified.
Will Jodie escape the week with her life, or could she be the mystery 23 April murder victim? The big story is getting closer, so we’ll find out soon enough…
