It’s not been a good day for Coronation Street’s Brody Michaelis, as his attempt to bond with his biological dad Kit Green left him feeling rejected in the latest episode.
As Tim and Sally Metcalfe were discussing what to do about his niece Lucy Parkinson, Tim said that he wouldn’t want Lucy to be placed with a foster family after her ordeal. Fans know that Tim’s cousin Rich murdered his wife, leaving Lucy traumatised and closed off to her uncle’s offer to help.

With Joanie and Shanice soon returning from Spain, Sally was concerned she and Tim couldn’t host Lucy for much longer. “So even if Lucy could stay, we don’t have any room for her,” Sally told Tim.
Brody overheard the conversation and offered to leave his room to Lucy and ask Kit to stay at his while he looked for his own place. “It’s fine, and it’s about to time,” he said, grinning as Sally rushed to hug him.
“Brody, we’re really gonna miss you,” she said, as Tim defused the sweet moment with a joke.
However, Brody’s plan fell apart when Kit didn’t seem impressed about his idea to move in.
“Mate, now’s not a good time,” Kit told Brody and suggested he try staying at Bernie’s.

“She wouldn’t mind,” Kit insisted, as Brody looked deflated.
When Brody headed to work behind the bar for Idris Nazir’s poker night at Speed Dahl, Kit snuck his way into the game and sat at the green table with the other players.
Meanwhile at the Metcalfe’s, Tim and Sally informed Lucy that she could stay with them as Brody would move in with Bernie. The girl was nonplussed and asked if she could be excused and go to her room.

“Well, that wasn’t the reaction I was hoping for,” Sally said, as Tim pleaded with her to give Lucy a chance.
In the final scenes, things got tense between a drunken Brody after he spilled about the poker game to Leanne Battersby, leaving Idris furious. In a violent confrontation, Idris shoved Brody against the wall and told him to never cross him again — or else.
